  • 2-3 # Sandwich Steak (rib eye)
  • 2 Green Peppers
  • 1 Head of minced Garlic
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dry Basil
  • 1 tsp dry Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dry Rosemary
  • 1 tsp dry Parsley
  • 2 Red Onions
  • 3 cups of Beef Stock
  • 1 Bay Leaf (Laurel)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

This dish is meant to be served family dinner style. Everyone just dig in! In a saucepan, combine basil, oregano, rosemary, parsley, garlic, beef stock and bay leaf. Bring to boil and shut off. Let mixture cool down in the refrigerator then add sandwich steaks to mixture and cover for 6 hours. Turn grill to high setting or 400 degrees. Grill Meat. Once char marks appear on meat, rotate same side down 90 degrees.
This will cause cross-hatching familiar to restaurant style. Turn steak over and repeat process until desired doneness. While grilling, reduce marinade to use as a sauce for the steaks. Medium dice the red onions, tomatoes, green peppers and season with salt and pepper. Use as condiments for steak sandwiches.
Serve on rolls or hamburger buns.
